What is “Cost Plus” Pricing?
Most of the yachts in this collection present prices based on MYBA terms (Mediterranean Yacht Brokers Association) or on a “Cost Plus” basis. This generally means that the base rate includes the hire of the vessel, her equipment and insurance, crew wages, crew meals and ship’s laundry. All other expenses are paid by the charterer including fuel for the yacht and her tenders; all food and beverage provisioning; all applicable taxes; dock fees and communication costs. Yachts will traditionally collect an advanced provisioning allowance or A.P.A. of 25 – 35% of the total charter fee to cover the additional expenses. In addition, a crew gratuity should be offered based on merit.

A complete accounting of expenses will be kept and any left over funds will be refunded to the charterer at the conclusion of the charter. Each yacht may have slightly different conditions and rates may change periodically. Please confirm rates and terms for each individual yacht with your Island Symphony yacht specialist.
